This funny golfing elephant picture shows the big pachyderm wearing classic golf clothing as he stands on the green about to putt. Creating funny anthropomorphic animal images is just par for the course for us having created over 600 such images and counting! To get the raw materials we needed to create the image we drew upon our archive of elephant, prop, and location images. Initially we rented an elephant to photograph in creating our elephant image collection. We photographed the elephant standing, sitting, laying down, raising its leg, using its trunk and more. We used a special lighting set up to facilitate later use in Photoshop. We have photographed elephants a number of times insuring that we have the raw materials to make just about any elephant image be it on the putting green, riding motorcycles, or water skiing. Elephant Domestication
Indian elephants have been domesticated because they are more docile and easier to train than African elephants. Indian elephants have been used for centuries in India for transportation, religious ceremonies, and other tasks. They have been bred in captivity for generations and are used to human interaction.
African elephants, on the other hand, are much more difficult to train and domesticate due to their larger size, unpredictable behavior, and natural aggression. In addition, African elephants have a different social structure than Indian elephants, with adult males living alone and female-led family groups. This makes it more difficult to control and train them.
African elephants have been used in some areas for logging and transportation, but they have not been domesticated to the same extent as Indian elephants. However, both African and Indian elephants are highly valued for their intelligence, strength, and other characteristics, and efforts are being made to conserve both species in the wild.
