Trump meme: The Emperor Has No Clothes!  Internet memes are generally images, GIFs or videos that humorously mimic a person or activity and are spread virally from one person to another online. In this case President Trump is the one lampooned in the form of an elephant holding a scepter and wearing Trump hair and a crown. The headline reads "The Emperor's New Clothes..."...a reference to the fact that so many people fail to see...or acknowlege...that Donald Trump is only interested in himself.

The elephant makes a great Trump metaphor. The elephant is symbolic of the GOP (Republican party). The elephant is portly...like Trump. And, in this image, the elephant is about to annoint himself King by using his trunk to place a crown on his head (on his comb-over more precisely). One thing to  keep in mind...the bigger they are the harder they fall!

The Emperor's New Clothes

The Emperor's New Clothes is a short story by Hans Christian Andersen in which two weavers promise an emperor a new clothes that are invisible to those who are unworthy, stupid, or incompetent...while in reality, the weavers make no clothes at all, making the people believe that the clothes are invisible to them. When the emperor shows off his new clothes in front of his subjects no one dares to say that they do not see any clothes on him for fear that they will be seen as stupid or worse. Finally, one child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" 

This image of an elephant parading off his new, non-existent clothing will hopefully go viral and help people recognize the fallacies of Trump and his administration who say that they are going to solve everyone's problems but instead are exacerabting the problems we do have, degrading the office of the POTUS, bungling foreign policy and creating a disaster on our borders.
