Political Parties

Political parties and partisan politics are represented in this image of an elephant and a donkey silhouetted against a brilliant sunset. The image represents the congressional quagmire that American politics and found itself caught in during these polarized times. This is a politically neutral image that serves to bring attention to political problems without taking sides. The silhouette of the animals and cliff makes excellent copy space for an image that is easy to crop to square, vertical or horizontal. The silhouette and vibrant color combine to make the image both attention grabbing and memorable.

Elephants, Donkeys And Politics

The elephant is an iconic symbol of the republican party while the donkey is an equally powerful symbol of the democratic party. Together they represent politics in America...both in the system's strength and weaknesses. The sky can be interpreted as either a sunrise or a sunset. As a sunrise the image represent possiblities, the future, new beginnings and a positive outlook for our future. As a sunset the image tends towards pessimism, endings, and the decay of our political system.

Creating Political Photographs

This is one of a number of political images we have created for our collection. We have a donkey and elephant in a forehead to forehead confrontation, elephants having a tea party, and elephant and donkey in starting blocks (beginning a political race), and we have elephants and donkeys on opposite sides of a cliff. We also have an elephant and a donkey engaged in a tug of war and together looking over a (fiscal) cliff. Many of our political satire and photo-toons utilize extensive Photoshop work to create memorable and impactful imagery.
