A Suspended Water Drop For Advertising And Editorials
This classic suspended water drop was created expressly for illustrating concepts in advertising and editorial offerings. By fading the body of water to white as it progresses to the top of the frame a perfect background is provided for headlines, body copy and type. The drama of the suspended drop is maintained the the usability of the image is greatly enhanced. The image works perfectly whether cropped to square, vertical or horizontal. Unlike most water drop photos this image was not photographed in a studio, but rather using an outdoor infinity pool overlooking Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California, not far from my Sausalito studio.
Drops Of Water And Water Issues
Drops of water, frozen in time by the camera, make great visuals for illustrating and promoting concepts surrounding water isues...and water issues are going to be ever more present in the face of global warming and climate change. Of course, there are spiritual and philosophical attributes that are also associated with water drops. The idea that we are all part of one, or that any action has almost endless repercussions (as indicated by the spreading concentric rings).
