Bears Pooping In The woods

This humorous look at a bear, caught in the act of pooping in the woods, truly gets its humor from the totally human expression of surprise at being observed. His eyes are wide and his mouth open and slack-jawed, as he squats in a compromised position. I created this image primarily with a funny greeting card in mind, but it can also serve to illustrate a wider range of concepts and ideas by illustrating that old question "Does a bear sh__ in the woods",  a question universally acknowledged as a statement of the obvious.

Does a bear sh__ in the woods? I guess the answer must be yes, and they can be embarrassed about when caught unawares as well! In this image a Grizzly bear looks surprised and embarrassed as he is caught in that familiar squatting position. No matter the position of the bear, the image can be cropped to any format be it square, horizontal or vertical with copy space aplenty. Anthropomorphic animal images are great for grabbing the attention of viewers and compelling them to read any accompanying headlines, text or body copy, and this image certain lives up to that principle. I believe, as well, that when a viewer sees an image such as this and can quickly identify it as an iconic symbol or metaphor, then the visual has just that much more impact and memorability.
