I created the image by panning and moving the camera while executing a one second exposure of city lights at night. The lights in question were a series of bare bulbs illuminating a festival on the banks of the Ganges river in the city of Varanasi, India. I used the warp tool in Photoshop to manipulate the light streaks into their various positions.
