A duck out of water? No, a goose out of water! A goose steps cautiously over dry, cracked earth in this concept stock photo. The image was created to illustrate concepts such a drought, disaster, ecological concerns and scarcity. This image can be licensed as a stock image through Getty Images. The image is actually a composite I created in Photoshop. The dry land was actually, of all things, a drained rice paddy in Myanmar. The land looked dry, but it was actually thick, wet mud. When you stepped on it you would sink up to mid-shin. But for my purposes, it was dry cracked earth signifying drought, scarcity, and a total lack of moisture. I photographed the goose on the beach of lake Tahoe in the California Sierra Nevada mountains.
