Yemeni Fishing Boats On A Beach

A row of fishing boats beached on the white sand beach shot from a low angle emphasizing the sweep of their bows and providing a clean background of deep blue sky with a smattering of light puffy clouds. It was a boat like this one that our group boarded for an hours ride to a secluded, and beautiful beach. For that trip I relied on my Sony RX100 II, in an underwater housing, for my photographer efforts. Enroute we hit some rough water and I was glad my camera was in that UW housing!  Using the camera in an underwater housing was a little challenging but not overly so.

Fishing Boats In Socotra

These Socotran fishing boats, with their brightly colored geometric patterns and graceful lines, can make anyone's photography look good! As a matter of fact, in travel photography I think most of the challenge is being there! Socotra is one of those rare places where there is a dynamite shot pretty much every time you turn around.
