Roster Crow: Wake Up!

This rooster crowing at sunrise is a wake-up picture, a photo about getting started and getting to work. This brilliantly colored bird is symbolic of early starts, getting off to a quick start, waking up and early morning calls. This particular rooster, with its intense colors, can also be used to advertise and promote products and services that are associated with color fidelity, color processes, printing, copying and getting attention.

Creating A Crowing Rooster Image

This was one of my first stock photos created with Photoshop. I photographed the sunrise across the street form my San Francisco studio. I photographed the rooster at the San Francisco petting zoo. I used the lasso tool to select each part of the rooster and used the hue and saturation controls to change and intensify the colors. The result is a hyper-colored rooster that cuts through the clutter to grab one's attention...exactly what we want a stock photo to accomplish!
