Slow Motion Video, the Phantom HD Camera, and GVS Hardware and Software

We used a Phantom HD Camera and GVS software and hardware (GVS 9000 VTR) to capture this super slow motion clock destruction video. The Phantom HD can shoot at tremendously high frame rates. We captured this stock clip at 1900 frames per second in HD. The GVS hardware and software allowed us to be viewing our captures in seconds and then converting them on the fly to the Pro Res 422 codec we needed. When shooting stock video efficiency is paramount, and we achieved that efficiency with the Phantom and the GVS solution. Our team consisted of Stephanie D.
