This funny picture of a mad Holstein milk cow was created a one of John Lund's funny Animal Antics photos. The human like emotion portrayed in the cow's face provides an image that can be used to illustrate a variety of concepts while incorporating humor into the message to both capture a viewer's attention and help in the retention of the message.

Silly Cow Photos

When it comes to silly cow photos this is one of the silliest. It is photo-realistic, yet the eyeballs are bulging like a cartoon animal. I photographed this Holstein cow as raw materials for creating humorous greeting cards and other silly animal images.

Photographing Holstein Milk Cows

To photograph this cow, a challenge because of the contrasting white and black hide, I had a twenty by twenty foot silk placed overhead between the cow and the sun. This flattened the contrast ratio to a point where we could hold both the highlights and shadows.
