Their are problems in the corporate and business world, challenges that are being ignored as symbolized by this funny photo of a huge elephant with an outstretched trunk, standing in an upscale board room. This common English idiom is based on the idea that an elephant in the room could not be missed, therefore it is being intentionally ignored out of embarrassment, social taboo, ignorance or other misguided reason. In this photo the idea is to apply the idiom specifically to a business decision being made at the highest levels of management in which the elephant also becomes a symbol of corrupt or inept managers, directors, CEOs and CFOs.
