Thomas Nast's political cartoon showing a donkey attacking an elephant became an inspiration for other political cartoonists. Soon, despite the wishes of the political parties, the symbols became the order of the day. In another version, Andrew Jackson was labeled a "jackass" for his populist views. Jackson actually liked the comparison and adopted the donkey for use on his campaign posters. Republicans see the elephant as a sign of strength and intelligence while democrats view it as timid and clumsy. Dems see the donkey as courageous. It is all how you look at it! And now, with this latest photographic version, we have a visually exciting representation of the classic American political struggle...with humor!

Need to illustrate struggles between the democrats and the republicans? Now we have a new humorous and eye-catching image to help illustrate the age-old battle between political parties...a donkey and elephant butting heads in an image of political satire and humor. The donkey was photographed in a zoo and the elephant in Thailand, and they met up in a Macintosh computer in Sausalito, CA., in my studio! We have quite an extension collection of LOL funny elephant pictures!
