Thus funny doctor's visit image features none other than myself as the patient! Believe, me, sometimes I do feel as empty headed as this image indicates!

In this lol funny doctor exam stock photo a Doctor's otoscope light shines in a patient's one ear and out the other illuminating the adjoining wall with a circular spot of light indicating that the patient has an empty head. This image might go viral with doctors as they no doubt have their fill of less-than-bright patients! It is hard for me to imagine just exactly how this photograph will be used, but from twenty years of experience of creating stock imagery I know that the humor aspect will make this a popular picture. Creative art directors, graphic designers and corporate communications professionals will find the right uses for this laugh out loud pic. I bet there will be a number of internal uses and newsletter illustrations!

Medical stock photos with a humorous twist

There are plenty of stock photos of doctors interacting with and examining patients, but very few that explore humor and the funny side of medicine. A little humor can be very healing and appropriately used can help make an advertiser's message far more entertaining and memorable. Whether it is the iconic image of a man in a body cast and traction that we all have from cartoons, or the elephant in the recovery room, there is a definite need for funny medical photos and an overall increase in humor in medicine. This is true for the vet industry which could also make use of humorous and Lol pet pictures as well. This photo helps fill that relatively empty space of humor in the healthcare industry and among doctors, nurses, and patients.

Laughter is the best medicine

If laughter is the best medicine then this must be a healing photo! The vacuous model serving as a patient in this image is actually me, the photographer. I had my associate, Stephanie Roeser take the actual picture of me and the doctor. I used Photoshop to turn a flashlight into an otoscope and to composite the elements of the image together including having the light go in one of my ears and out the other onto the wall next to me. I wore an Hawaiian shirt to add to the impression that here is a patient who perhaps takes things in a bit too relaxed manner. Maybe his laid-back nature is due to a general lack of brain power! I played with a variety of expressions and settle on this one rather than one that made me look like just a dullard. Here at least I have an inkling that something is amiss! When I show the image to friends it never fails to bring a smile to the viewer's face...and that is good medicine for me!
