The idea for this image was suggested by Siri Stafford, who at the time was my editor at Getty Images. The building being struck by lightning was created from several other structures composited together in Photoshop. The sides of each building were manipulated separately to maximize the drama and to create the impression that the surfaces were at least partly lit by the lightning strike. The lightning itself came from an image I photographed in India (we don't get much lightning in San Francisco). This concept stock photograph was made to illustrate ideas such as chance, power, energy, and even risk. Stock photos such as this one are particularly appropriate for the insurance industry, power companies and weather related industries.
