Creating Conceptual Eagle imagery

Creating an eagle image for illustrating concepts used in advertising, promotional and editorial communications calls for some basic imagery and the skilful application of Photoshop...at least in this image. I photographed both the clouds and the eagle on a recent trip to Yemen. The eagle was shot against a plain blue sky and was lacking drama and impact. By stripping the raptor out and inserting him into the more colorful and dramatic cloudscape I created and image that evokes the noble power and majesty of the bird and makes it a far more compelling image for actual use in publications or online. In addition, the image is easily cropped into square, horizontal or vertical with ample copy space to help get that vital message across.
