Social Media: The Down Side

Social media does have a down side and can be a burden as seen in this photo of an African American businessman carrying a globe of portraits on his back. Every model in this image has a signed model release. The businessman is wearing a blue shirt, gray slacks and a red tie. He is obviously straining under the weight of this huge globe that represents the world of social media. To succeed in the use of social media, networking and photo sharing one has to participate at a high level, and participation takes time and effort. Not only that, but social media efforts have to be consistent to be successful. While it is true that social networking can provide substantial, even immense, benefits, it is not without cost and success can be elusive.

The World of Social Media

The world of social media in this image is represented by a globe compiled from individual portraits of a wide range of people including young and old, a wide variety of ethnic groups, and men and women. This social globe includes people from all walks of life and crosses ethnic, cultural and global boundaries. This is a global image about the challenges of social media particularly as encountered in the business world. It is, however, an optimistic image full of hope and promise. While the man carrying the weight of social media is obviously burdened, he also wears a hopeful expression indicating the promise of rich rewards for his efforts.

Social Media Photos

This social media photo was carefully crafted to not only have a strong concept and a quick read, but also the flexibility to be cropped as a horizontal, vertical or square format. There is room galore for copy, headlines and text. The setting reads as a high-end corporate headquarters of an international business.
