Pull The Plug

Pull the plug is a familiar phrase, but how can we show pulling the plug in an effective and dynamic way when we want to utilize that iconic phrase in a motion or video presentation? Well, now that is not a problem. We captured a plug being pulled from a wall socket, complete with sparks, at 1900 frames per second in an HD video. We used a Phantom HD video camera utilizing GVS 9000 software and hardware that enabled us to view our captures virtually instantly and that converted our file to the Pro Res format on the fly.

Pulling the Plug, Ending It, Cutting It Off

Pulling the plug, ending it, cutting it off; These are all phrases that come into our lives constantly. There is a significant demand for visuals that can illustrate such themes in clear, concise and dramatic fashion. The universal metaphor of a plug being pulled crosses cultures, needs no words and is a quick and compelling read. The flash of sparks adds just that extra bit of drama and impact to this slow motion video. It is time to pull the plug on boring visual presentations and to utilize the dynamic slow motion video, either as stand alone presentations, or incorporated into new or existing communications.

Slow Motion Video Clips For Advertising, Editorial and Corporate Communications and Messaging

Slow motion video clips add impact and interest to all manner of communications be it advertising, editorial, or corporate in nature. Viewing something, even the ordinary, in a way we seldom if ever see, captures a viewers interest, cutting through the clutter and flying past the mundane and ordinary. Super slow motion brings the extraordinary to the ordinary and makes your communications more memorable, more attention-grabbing, and possibly more viral as well.

Plugs as symbolic communications tools

Plugs make great symbols for communications and messages dealing with a wide variety of issues from power and energy to connection and networking.
