This funny picture shows four elephants standing together in a rainforest and bellowing out the tunes as they raise their trunks high in sweet harmony! If you have never heard an elephant quartet you have missed out on one of the great musical experiences of all time. Such an elephant band is rare indeed and it is said that their music, a harmonious blend of shrieks, bellows and rumbling base, is a match even for the mythical sirens of ancient Greek lore. But here we have photographic proof that such storied fables can and do actually exist.

This funny elephant picture brings several questions of musical import into the forefront. A big question: Do elephants ever forget the lyrics to a song? Given the reputation of the huge pachyderms for exceptional long-term memory, I suspect that remembering lyrics to a song is not one of their problems! Another question; Do elephants dance?
