In super slow motion a dart strikes a water filled balloon bursting it in a shower of drops and spray. The instant the dart penetrates the balloon we see the rubber split diagonally as the water begins to spray. Almost miraculously the water holds its tear-dropped shape as the dart continues on its trajectory through the translucent water. As the dart leaves the frame the liquid begins to fall, all the while retaining its shape. This 1000 frame per second capture shows us the extraordinary in the ordinary revealing details that are a revelation and not possible to realize without the slow motion assistance.

We chose a red balloon and a yellow dart, against a dark gray background, to add to the drama and beauty of the video clip. We allowed room for body copy to provide for the situations when the clip might be used for credits, titles or as some sort of background image. This is a clean, graphic image that reads well even at very small sizes, but was shot in HD for large uses.
